Yasir Akram, MD, MPH, FACC, FSCAI, is an accomplished interventional and general cardiologist at Apex Heart & Vascular Center, serving patients in Houston, Tomball, and Cypress, Texas. Known for his clinical expertise and extensive research background, Dr. Akram provides comprehensive care for a range of heart, peripheral arterial, and venous conditions.

Dr. Akram’s training spans Internal Medicine, Preventive Medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology. He is highly skilled in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including balloon angioplasty and complex percutaneous coronary and peripheral vascular interventions. His specialties also include advanced cardiac support techniques, such as the Impella heart pump and intra-aortic balloon pump.
